Do You Know Jesus?
Knowing and accepting Jesus as your own personal Saviour is the most important step you will ever take in your life!
To become one of God’s children – a Christian – all you need to do is believe in your heart that Jesus is your Saviour and say it. It’s that simple!
Here is a prayer that may help you to do just that:
“Jesus, I believe that you died on the cross for my sin and that you were raised from the dead to give me new life. I accept what you did as a free gift for me and I want you to come into my life and be my Lord.”
Now you have received Jesus…
If you have confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and have believed in your heart that God raised him from the dead, then you have been born again – you are saved!
Saved from what?
You are saved from eternity in hell without God
You are saved from the effects of sin
You are saved from all your past, your sin is forgiven
Saved for what?
You are saved to be a child of God
You are saved to live a victorious life
You are saved to have dominion over the devil
You are saved to help others be saved
You are saved to spend eternity with God in heaven
What does it mean to be “Born Again”?
You have been made new
Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17
You are now a member of God’s family
So then, you … are not foreigners or strangers any longer; you are now citizens together with God’s people and members of the family of God. Ephesians 2:19.
You are forgiven of all your sin
He rescued from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the Kingdom of his dear Son, by whom we are set free, that is, our sins are forgiven. Colossians 1:12-13
You have all of God’s blessings and promises available to you
Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world. Ephesians 1:3
You can be assured of a place in heaven when you die
For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. John 3:16
